Appraise is an exclusive specialty belonging to Professor Tangrowth. Throughout your journey you'll dig up, fish up, and stumble across mysterious Lost Relics — muddy, unidentified objects that only a trained eye can make sense of.

Bring those relics to Professor Tangrowth and he'll appraise them, revealing what they really are: rare pieces of furniture you can't craft anywhere else. Appraised relics become tradeable at Gimmighoul's Collect stand, making Appraise the first step of the entire rare-furniture pipeline.

Because Tangrowth is the only Pokémon with this specialty, befriending him is a required milestone if you want to complete your furniture catalog.
