Pokopia World is a fan-made reference site. We aim to collect as little personal data as possible and to be transparent about what runs in your browser and on our servers.
Summary
No accounts. You can use most of the site without signing in. We do not sell your personal information.
Advertising, cookies, and similar technologies
Google AdSense and authorized third-party advertisers may use cookies, IP addresses, web beacons, or similar technologies to deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud, and personalize advertising when you allow it. Google Auto Ads may select eligible placements automatically; Consent Mode defaults advertising storage and personalization to denied, while Google's certified CMP determines whether personalized, non-personalized, or limited ads are available in applicable regions.
Service providers
- Google Analytics processes visit and device information after you consent to analytics.
- Microsoft Clarity processes interactions, heatmaps, and session usability data after you consent to analytics.
- Google AdSense and Google's CMP process advertising, consent signals, measurement, and invalid-traffic protection.
- Hosting and CDN providers process request logs, IP addresses, and security events to deliver and protect the site.
Consent, opt-out, and withdrawal
All optional purposes default to denied. You can allow analytics only, allow all, or keep only essential features, and later withdraw or change that choice through Cookie settings in the footer. You can also turn off personalized ads in Google's ad settings and clear cookies or localStorage in your browser.
Retention
Browser settings remain until you clear site data or withdraw the choice. Emails are kept only for a reasonable period needed to handle the request, legal obligations, and security. Server and security logs follow the hosting provider's rotation policy; analytics and advertising retention are controlled in the relevant provider settings.
Information we may process
Like most websites, our hosting provider and infrastructure may automatically process technical metadata when you request pages (for example IP address, user agent, timestamps, and URLs). We use this only to operate and secure the service.
- Server and edge logs needed for reliability, abuse prevention, and debugging.
- Basic aggregated statistics about traffic (for example page views) where enabled by our host or tooling.
Data stored in your browser
Some convenience features store data locally on your device (not on our servers):
- Favorites and “owned” marks for items and Pokémon (via local storage).
- A small flag so the language suggestion banner does not repeat after you dismiss it.
- Habitat build-checklist progress and your privacy choices.
Third-party services
With your analytics consent, we use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand aggregated traffic and usability. Without that consent, their scripts are not loaded by the site. These providers process data according to their own policies.
